Personal Background

I am Austrian by nationality and a global citizen by heart, having worked and/or lived in 15 countries, mainly in Asia and Africa, during the last 25 years.

The variety of cultures and people I have been privileged to work with have shaped me deeply and convinced me that peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and support for each other’s personal development and growth is possible!

I am married to a wonderful woman, who I have shared a quite colorful life with: not only have we travelled the world, but we are both actively involved in our inner journeys, which surely is just as adventurous.

We both value tolerance, loving kindness, honesty, and we strive to support our children’s and each others growth to the best we can – something I don’t take for granted and which I’m truly grateful for.

Professional Experience

Starting off in 1994 as a Project Manager with international development organisations, I finally joined UN-FAO in 2012 where I served as a Senior Investment Officer at FAO’s Investment Center collaborating with World Bank and the International Fund for Agricultural Development until 2022.

In these years I successfully managed challenging situations under sometimes difficult or even dangerous situations and environments. The challenges ranged from building effective, multicultural teams, guiding colleagues and project staff in strategic planning, finding common ground in conflicts, and often just to be wholeheartedly there for someone to pull through emotional lows, fear and self-doubt.

This hands-on experience, combined with professional training in coaching and traditional as well as science based mindfulness meditation, finally made me the “Life Coach” I am today. I’m also honored to serve as a Coach for the Women’s Informal Network (WIN).
